Link DataSight to ArcGIS
DataSight users with current upgrade protection can now access Help Center videos on how to link and work with DataSight data in ArcGIS.
DataSight has been designed to ensure that data is easily shared with other third party products. Rather than try to emulate the sophisticated GIS systems available, data stored within DataSight is able to be directly linked to GIS for spatial analysis. By using industry standard database connections such as OLE and ODBC, GIS software products can be connected directly to the back end of the DataSight Microsoft SQL tables and SQL views. The benefit is that your environmental data comes from a single source, DataSight, and populates maps via direct links. As such, relatively unskilled environmental personnel can use DataSight to filter and store a Saved View and then simply ask the GIS team to pick up the corresponding SQL view.
This approach also allows DataSight to be easily linked to engineering models and statistical packages such as Statistica and Sigma Plot.
